Do You Feel Me?
Some dismissed the typhoon when it first hit. Thought it was part of the yearly seasonal cycle that the Philippines has endured and overcome for generations. This one was definitely different. Thousands of people displaced, thousands missing/injured/dead, thousands more in disarray.
Millions of Filipinos around the world mobilized and this event at Box Studios was the local attempt to help our families, friends and brethren in the Motherland.
The local Filipino-Canadian art community, businesses, organizations and musicians chipped in what they could to help make SALAMAT a success. We can’t change what happened, what we can change is what comes next.
